Frank Kinney - Eugene, Oregon

The residents of south Eugene will find several amenities in this five acre park nestled along the valley floor. The park welcomes visitors with native perennials, shrubs, and trees, and ushers them in through a series of new ADA accessible crushed aggregate and concrete paths installed alongside an existing network of mulch paths. Other opportunities include a colorful playground, walking and jogging paths, and spaces for socializing. Schlesinger & Associates worked with the city of Eugene to complete construction documents for this project, successfully addressing the challenges of grading around a proposed bridge and under playground equipment and ensuring design elements were in keeping with maintenance standards.
