Summer Oaks Commercial PUD

Working with Eric Hall Architects, Schlesinger & Associates participated in master planning this 10-acre commercial subdivision. Two large office buildings with underground parking are encompassed by several smaller buildings housing convenient amenities such as restaurants, a bank and a gas station. A unique set of plants surround each parking lot and its associated building, creating a distinct environment and identity.

An allee of ash trees draws visitors and employees into Summer Oaks. Further into the office park, a crisp grid of birches frames a plaza. The plaza, with benches facing a central oak tree, provides a common space in the center of the development for eating and relaxing. An elevated crossing combined with the unique plantings of birches signals drivers to slow down, providing safe passage to the plaza.
